I was raised in Duluth and moved to the Twin Cities for school. After completing grad school, my family and I relocated to Cincinnati, where we lived for nearly ten years. I have been happily married for 17 years and have two wonderful boys. Our family loves to travel, attend our kids’ sporting events, and discover new ways to experience the world around us. It was in Cincinnati that I first became licensed and began my career as a crisis therapist, and also working with at-risk youth. Five years ago, we moved back to Minnesota to be closer to family. Since then, I have worked in a group practice before deciding to begin my own practice, and so Uff Da! Mental Health.
I’ve known for a long time that my career focus was going to be focused on children, adolescents, and families; I like the idea of helping young people out before issues and concerns grow up into adult ones. I believe that there is a growing concern in many families around tech dependency and screen time, so I have worked to increase my knowledge and training in this area specifically. Do you have a concern that you would like to discuss? Contact me.
